Capabilities
Off-Road Non-Standard Vehicle (NSV) Driver Training
Our advanced off-road training focuses heavily on moderate to technical off-road driving, recovery, along with field repair, NVG driving and roll over FTX scenarios. We use a variety of our indigenous vehicles ranging from Toyota Hilux, Toyota Prado and Land Cruisers in various formats – right-hand-drive, left-hand-drive, diesel, gas, manual and automatic. These courses range from 3-5 days and can easily be combined with any of our other training programs.
Evasive/Defensive/Executive Protection Driver Training
We offer a comprehensive hard surface driving program located at our training area situated around Danville, VA and Rockingham, NC, along with other off-site locations. These courses range from 2-5 days and focus on high speed, close proximity, PIT/RAM, react to contract, immediate action drills, vehicle bail outs, motorcades/convoys and can include FAV (fully armored vehicles) platforms as well.
ISV (infantry squad vehicle), GMV 1.1 and matv driver training
This training consists of the ISV (Infantry Squad Vehicle), GMV 1.1 (Flyer), Polaris Dagor and MATVs/RGs, commonly used by various military groups around the world. Our familiarity with these high center of gravity vehicles will significantly increase each student's ability to understand the dynamics and mechanics of these platforms.
Motorcycle Training
We offer basic to advanced motorcycle riding courses using smaller bikes (250cc and under) commonly found throughout Asia and Africa. This training focuses on acquiring, starting (electric/kick) and riding motorcycles on dirt and paved road surfaces. We are able to provide MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) certificates to all students after completing our training. These courses can easily be incorporated into any of our other mobility courses as well.
mobile training teams/unsupported off-road training
BDM has many options for long range/unsupported operational training - both CONUS and OCONUS using our Mobile Training Teams (MTTs). This allows groups to train in a variety of “off the grid” locations where logistics, personnel, vehicles, preparation, vehicle loading, communication and navigation/route planning are critical to understand. Our MTTs train on-site at various military facilities or at one of our designated areas in Southern California.
