Off-Road Non-Standard Vehicle (NSV) Driver Training
Our advanced off road driving training focuses heavily on moderate to technical terrain, recovery techniques, field repair, NVG driving, and roll-over FTX scenarios. To deliver realistic off road driving experience, we use a variety of indigenous vehicles including Toyota Hilux, Toyota Prado, and Land Cruisers in multiple configurations such as right-hand-drive, left-hand-drive, diesel, gas, manual, and automatic. These 3–5 day courses can easily be combined with any of our other programs, providing comprehensive off road driving training tailored to diverse operational needs.
Evasive/Defensive/Executive Protection Driver Training
We offer a comprehensive hard surface driving program at our training areas around Danville, VA and Rockingham, NC, as well as select off-site locations. While this course focuses on high-speed maneuvers, close proximity driving, PIT/RAM techniques, react-to-contact drills, immediate action drills, vehicle bailouts, and motorcade/convoy operations, it also strengthens our overall Driver Training curriculum for teams needing both on-road and tactical skills. These 2–5 day programs can incorporate FAV (Fully Armored Vehicles) platforms and are designed to work seamlessly alongside our advanced Driver Training courses, ensuring operators receive full mobility readiness. This integrated approach allows units to build confidence and enhance both on-road and tactical Driver Training capabilities.
ISV (infantry squad vehicle), GMV 1.1 and matv driver training
This training includes platforms such as the ISV (Infantry Squad Vehicle), GMV 1.1 (Flyer), Polaris Dagor, and MATVs/RGs, all commonly used by military units worldwide. These vehicles play a crucial role in advanced off road driving operations, and our extensive familiarity with their high center of gravity improves every student's understanding of their dynamics and handling. By integrating this knowledge into our off road driving instruction, we help students build confidence, enhance vehicle control, and strengthen mission readiness. Our expertise ensures trainees gain the technical insight needed for safe and effective off road driving in demanding environments.
Motorcycle and e bike Training
We offer basic to advanced motorcycle and e-bike riding courses using smaller bikes (250cc and under) commonly found throughout Asia and Africa. This training focuses on acquiring, starting (electric/kick), and riding motorcycles on both dirt and paved surfaces, making it an excellent complement to our off road driving programs. Students gain foundational skills that support safer mobility in challenging terrain, reinforcing the same principles taught in our advanced off road driving courses. These motorcycle and e-bike courses can be easily integrated into any of our broader off road driving or mobility training programs.
E-bikes are quickly becoming a powerful tool in military mobility training. They offer a unique blend of speed, endurance, and low-noise movement—allowing teams to cover more ground efficiently in rapid deployment scenarios. As modern operations evolve, integrating e-bikes into mobility training isn’t just innovative—it’s a strategic advantage.
mobile training teams/unsupported off-road training
BDM offers multiple options for long-range and unsupported operational training, both CONUS and OCONUS, through our Mobile Training Teams (MTTs). These programs complement our advanced off road driving curriculum by allowing groups to train in realistic “off-the-grid” environments where logistics, personnel management, vehicle preparation, loading, communication, and navigation/route planning are essential. Our MTTs provide on-site instruction at various military facilities or at one of our designated areas in Southern California, ensuring units gain mission-ready skills that directly support effective off road driving operations. This approach helps teams build confidence and capability for real-world mobility challenges.
